The most cosmopolitan side of Lisbon Fashion Week comes alive on Avenida da Liberdade, the ultimate meeting point for national and international trends.

For the first time, this iconic avenue joins Lisbon Fashion Week with a parallel program full of happenings that celebrate fashion in all its forms: from inspiring talks and creative workshops to unique moments of networking and conviviality.

This initiative, launched by Associação Avenida and embraced by Associação ModaLisboa, embodies the vision of ModaLisboa BASE, the 65th edition’s project of geographical expansion. Beyond its traditional epicenter at Pátio da Galé, the city itself becomes the stage for fashion’s energy and vibrancy.

From October 1–5, explore a tailor’s atelier, connect with Portuguese designers, join exclusive workshops, discover fashion, eyewear, and makeup trends, savor menus and cocktails created especially for ModaLisboa, or simply enjoy a festive atmosphere at one of Lisbon’s newest rooftops.

And all of this on Lisbon’s most iconic avenue!

Avenida da Liberdade, with its global brands ranging from luxury to prêt-à-porter, alongside iconic cultural spaces, is one of Lisbon’s most prestigious landmarks. Always at the forefront of trends, it is where leading international names have chosen to establish their BASE. For Portuguese brands located here, the avenue is also a powerful BASE for internationalization.

The iconic Capitólio rooftop, in the heart of Parque Mayer, transforms into an open-air cinema. Avenida da Liberdade is promoted by the Avenida Association, whose mission, among others, is to communicate the extraordinary offerings that can be found in Lisbon’s Luxury District. The Association has more than 140 members from diverse areas, including shops, hotels, restaurants, services, and cultural spaces. It is an association open to anyone with premises on Lisbon’s main avenue who wishes to join in order to, with one voice, promote the avenue in its commercial and cultural aspects, interact with public entities, and benefit all those present there.

ModaLisboa Association
The ModaLisboa Association, founded in 1991 in partnership with the Lisbon City Council, is a multidisciplinary entity dedicated to the promotion and development of national Designer Fashion. It positions itself as a strategic platform that values Portuguese creative capital, promoting fashion as a field where culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship intersect. With a clear mission to raise awareness about sustainability, inclusion, and transparency, it fosters the growth of the sector in coordination with the industry and national and international sector associations, positioning independent fashion as an agent of social change. Its main project, Lisboa Fashion Week, is recognized as a driver for discovery, training, and promotion of young talent, gathering semiannually fashion shows, conferences, exhibitions, and spaces for reflection, in a program that combines cultural heritage and craftsmanship with technological innovation and cross-sector dialogue.
