Leica opens its first Lisbon store

Avenida da Liberdade welcomes a new landmark for photography enthusiasts: Leica. Internationally renowned for its premium cameras, lenses and optical equipment, the iconic German brand has chosen Lisbon’s most prestigious avenue for its first store in the Portuguese capital.
Located at 258 Avenida da Liberdade, the Leica Store Lisbon is designed to be much more than a retail space. It offers photographers, collectors, professionals and photography enthusiasts an inspiring environment dedicated to creativity, innovation and photographic culture.
Visitors can explore Leica’s latest camera systems alongside a curated selection of sport optics, pre-owned equipment, home cinema products, smartphones and watches, while benefiting from expert advice.
The new store also features a Project Room, an exhibition space opening with a curated selection from Leica. A Century of Photography, celebrating the brand’s 100-year legacy through the work of internationally acclaimed photographers.
Complementing the new store, Leica is also launching the Leica Akademie Lisbon. Designed for photographers of all experience levels, the Akademie will offer workshops, masterclasses and hands-on learning experiences, helping participants refine their photographic vision through Leica’s distinctive approach to image-making.
With a presence in Portugal dating back to the 1950s and a production facility in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Leica further strengthens its connection to the country with a new destination designed to bring together the photographic community and celebrate the art of visual storytelling.
