July brings another Live Session to the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade. This time, the hotel lobby welcomes the pianist and composer João Pedro Coelho.

At 31, João Pedro Coelho is one of the most prominent artists in the new generation of jazz musicians.

He is a member of Ricardo Toscano’s quartet, the Loulé Jazz trio, ‘Canções da Ilha Deserta’ with Marta Garrett, the Pedro Moreira Quintet, the Hot Clube Sextet, and the Orquestra Assintomática. In recent years, he shared the stage with notable musicians such as Nelson Cascais, Teresinha Landeiro, Rick Margitza, Bruno Pernadas, Guinga, Jorge Hélder, André Fernandes, Afonso Pais, Martin Sued, Perico Sambeat, among others.

In 2021, “Crónicas” – his debut album, was released, featuring compositions that traverse the realms of jazz, classical, and Portuguese popular music.

He will perform at the hotel accompanied by two other acclaimed artists: André Sousa Machado on drums and Romeu Tristão on double bass.

This free concert will take place in the Lobby Bar, with the option to enjoy it from the hotel’s Mezzanine.
