Eliseu was a dreamer, a hard worker, a simple man, an entrepreneur, and a lover of his roots: Bairrada.
He always dreamed of honoring one of the 7 wonders of Portuguese gastronomy, Leitão à Bairrada. Fate had other plans, and in 2020 his son, Marcus Madeira, decided to pay tribute to his father by opening the restaurant Eliseu dos Leitões in Carnide, using his father’s name and silhouette in the brand’s logo.

As the project grew in a sustainable way, Marcus was invited to expand the business by opening a second, larger restaurant on Avenida da Liberdade, with capacity for groups and various events, such as wine tastings, wine-pairing dinners, and other events.

The suckling pigs are roasted daily in the traditional Bairrada style for both lunch and dinner at each restaurant. The brand also offers takeaway, home delivery, and catering services.

At the Avenida da Liberdade location, indulge in succulent meat, crispy skin, and a glass of sparkling wine to accompany your meal.
