A hidden garden in the heart of Lisbon: Tivoli’s Pool Bar opens to the public this summer

Set within a lush semi-tropical garden, the Pool Bar at Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, previously reserved exclusively for hotel guests, is opening its doors to the public this summer, revealing one of the city’s most unexpected hideaways.

To accompany the warmer days, Chef Miguel Silva presents a menu inspired by fresh and light flavours. The selection includes ceviches, tartares, salads, poke bowls, and even an açaí bowl, featuring the tropical Amazonian fruit known for its fresh and vibrant character, alongside a range of cocktails, sangrias, fresh juices and mocktails. Daily-served Bolas de Berlim also pay tribute to one of Portugal’s most iconic summer treats.

The season’s biggest highlight is the introduction of a Day Pass, granting access to the pool between 10 AM and 8 PM, available for €90 per adult and €45 per child up to 12 years old. Reservations are mandatory and subject to availability.

In the late afternoon, the atmosphere takes on a new energy with the Pool Sessions, open to all and free of charge. Every Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m., Cuba Libre, with Latin American rhythms, and Bemquerê, bringing the sounds of Bossa Nova, fill the semi-tropical garden with music that extends summer evenings among friends or provides the perfect soundtrack to unwind after a day’s work.

From leisurely outdoor lunches and live music at sunset to relaxing days spent by the pool, the Pool Bar at Tivoli Avenida Liberdade is an invitation to make the most of summer in the heart of Lisbon.
