Designer Tony Miranda welcomed Sofia Escobar to his atelier at Avenida da Liberdade 92/100 for the first costume fitting for the musical “EVITA”. Surrounded by fabrics, cuts, and details meticulously designed by Tony Miranda, each piece is crafted to bring Eva Perón to life on stage. Every garment reflects the elegance, strength, and striking presence of one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century.

Tony Miranda is responsible for the haute couture creation of all of Sofia Escobar’s costumes. The collection includes five ensembles that tell the story of Eva Perón from her childhood onwards. These pieces draw inspiration from the fashion of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, capturing the elegance of each era.

Carla Matadinho, CEO of the Yellow Star Company, explains that “choosing Tony Miranda was the obvious decision, as he is a major name in haute couture.” She adds, “We have known each other for many years, and he immediately came to mind to sign this project, which is already proving to be a success, with sold-out shows even before its grand premiere.”
