“Tradition & Modernity: A winter together”

Some bonds cannot be explained. They deepen silently over time, through mutual trust and admiration, growing stronger with every moment shared.

This autumn/winter 2025 season, Hackett London reunites with its ambassadors Carlos Sainz, father and son, for its new campaign — the second chapter in the Tradition and Modernity series, entitled A Winter Together.

More than just motorsport icons, father and son Carlos Sainz are two forces in motion, shaping each other as they move forward, learn and redefine themselves.
Photographed by New York-based fashion photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca, the AW25 campaign was shot in rural Oxfordshire, where winding roads, misty gardens and imposing mansions frame each scene, capturing a true choreography of contrasts: instinct and discipline, spontaneity and precision, youth and legacy. Returning for their second season as the faces of Hackett, father and son enter a narrative defined not by grand statements,
but by a playful and elegant rivalry. Whether competing in a game of table football, driving vintage cars along autumnal roads or exchanging knowing glances in perfectly tailored coats, each scene depicts a silent competition shrouded in gentle affection. These are quality moments spent together, set against the backdrop of autumn and winter days. They are not races, but rituals.

For Hackett, tailoring is not static. It is a constant quest. It adapts. It evolves. It refines itself.

This philosophy is present in all the fabrics of the autumn-winter 2025 collection presented by the duo. Rich in tradition yet unmistakably contemporary, the collection revisits country classics — tweeds, tartans and silhouettes from the brand’s archive — reimagined through a modern lens. The palette unfolds in phases, starting with warm tones of Tofu, Cobblestone and Bright Gold, before moving on to cooler tones such as Celestial Blue and Night Sky. At the height of the season, the colour palette takes on a festive touch, inspired by the “12 Days
of Christmas”, while textures such as Donegal and Paisley patterns add interesting details. Fabric innovation is a key element this season, with transitional hybrids, comfortable knits, elegant sweaters, brushed cottons and premium blends ensuring versatility and comfort. Tailoring takes a softer approach, embracing stretch cotton, Tencel and ultra-lightweight fabrics, often with modern finishes such as zip linings and distinctive inner linings
that elevate everyday wear. Standout coats, from wax coats to pea coats, offer timeless British silhouettes, while overshirts offer a smart yet casual alternative to the classic blazer, as an easy and stylish piece to layer. Knits make a confident statement, with bold pieces celebrating British icons. Important textures such as Birdseye or Honeycomb add diversity, while knitted waistcoats emerge as a sophisticated yet practical piece.

Together, Carlos Sainz father and son represent more than a legacy — they are a living dialogue between precision and spontaneity, experience and ambition. They do not compete with each other, they complement each other. The new collection is shaped by the tradition of tailoring and the search for personal style, and this campaign captures that moment when tradition meets reinvention and two generations align in a common
expression of excellence.
